📝 Summary

Sberbank was fined by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for improper advertising of credit cards. This is reported by the supervisory authority.

As specified, the organization also issued an order to eliminate the violation. Thus, in the bank’s advertising information was posted about transactions without commission, free credit card service and cashback of 10% for payment of goods in one of the marketplaces. The FAS indicated that other conditions of such a card were reported in small print, which is difficult for the client to read. Recall that in February, the supervisory service fined Alfa-Bank, Gazprombank, VTB and T-Bank for a total of more than 2.2 million rubles for violations in advertising campaigns. The claims affected television, outdoor and online advertising. The agency issued orders to banks to eliminate violations and imposed administrative fines.
