According to SHOT, in official documents Egor Bortnik passes under the name Igor Bortnik. He has Russian citizenship, TIN, bank accounts and business. Public figures demand to assign the status of a foreign agent to Igor, as it was done with Yegor. Telegram-channel writes that representatives of the movement “Forty forty” appealed to the interior Ministry with a request to deprive Yegor Bortnik of Russian citizenship. Another appeal was sent to the Ministry of Justice with a demand to re-recognize him as a foreign agent. Bortnik himself prefers not to advertise his Russian citizenship. Last year, when the band members were detained in Phuket, the statement emphasized that Yegor and Shura were not Russian citizens. The artist supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine, February 26 because of donations in support of Ukraine set fire to the door of his apartment, which was decorated on the ex-wife Bortnik. The musician also said that he does not believe in the concept of “homeland”.
