Participants of the conference "Forensic and medical examination of mass graves" visited the memorial in the village of Zhestyana Gorka

In Veliky Novgorod, the scientific and practical conference "Forensic and medical examination of mass graves" was completed. And, of course, its participants could not but respond to the offer to visit the museum and memorial complex in the village of Tsestyanaya Gorka with a tour. About 50 professional forensic experts from different regions of the country came to Batetsk district to honor the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. Tin Gorka is the first monument in Russia that tells about thousands of innocent civilians who died at the hands of Nazi punishers. The guests, participants of the scientific conference, learned about the series of events on Batetsk land during the occupation. The tour was conducted by Igor Neofitov, head of the search expedition "Valley". He compared the hill near the village of Tin Gorka, where mass executions took place, with Golgotha, and the names of most of those killed we will never know. To the snow-covered memorial plates and the sculptural composition “The Grieving Mother”, forensic scientists laid red carnations. The tour was held under the project "Without limitation period".
