According to the Telegram channel SHOT, referring to the passengers of the flight, the plane flew for several hours on one engine. Eyewitnesses say that after the flight from Moscow, they heard a “suspiciously loud sound of a turbine”, after which the power plant of the Boeing 777 liner turned off. It should be noted that the press service of the carrier announced a “suspicion of a technical malfunction” of the aircraft flying from Moscow to Cayo Coco. "The crew decided to return to the reserve airfield Pulkovo in order to ensure flight safety," the airline said in a statement. The nature of the malfunction and its severity were not specified. The plane landed safely in St. Petersburg, passengers are scheduled to be sent to the destination airport by reserve aircraft. The situation is being monitored by the Transport Prosecutor's Office.
