St. Petersburg court arrested officials who sold municipal land
The October district court of St. Petersburg detained two employees of the administration of the Vsevolzhsky district of the Leningrad region. The former deputy head of the administration of the Vsevolozhsky district for construction Alexei Kondrashin and the acting deputy head of the administration of the Morozovsky settlement Denis Krainov were sent under arrest until April 26, the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg reported in the Telegram channel.

Officials were accused of embezzling property in an especially large amount and exceeding powers. According to the investigation, Krainov and Kondrashin, together with other persons, sold the municipal land plot, which could not be the subject of an auction, for 30 million rubles. According to the investigation, officials created conditions for the “illegal alienation” of the asset. 47news clarifies that we are talking about a plot of 3.78 hectares in Sosnovy Lane, 1 km from Lake Ladoga. According to the master development plan, the land was intended for individual housing construction. The territory was to be divided into plots of no more than 25 acres each. Instead, officials sold the land to a sole proprietor for less. "The cost of a land plot when fulfilling the conditions for placing objects of local importance on its territory is at least 50,602,104.39 rubles," the press service said. The damage caused to the state by this deal was estimated by the investigation at 20.6 million rubles, that is, on an especially large scale.
