In one of the social networks, he spoke about a telephone conversation held on March 1 with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, during which the Russian Foreign Minister informed him about Kiev’s attempts to strike at the Russkaya compressor station. “Energy security is a matter of sovereignty, so such attacks should be seen as an encroachment on sovereignty,” he said. He recalled that the European Commission recently gave a guarantee that Kiev will not attack the pipeline infrastructure. “Therefore, we call on the European Commission to immediately clarify whether Ukraine is fulfilling its guarantees,” he wrote. An attempt to strike unmanned aerial vehicles on the compressor station "Russkaya" on the gas pipeline "Turkish stream" Kiev made on the night of February 28. The Russian Defense Ministry said the aim of the attack was to stop gas transit to Europe.
