As noted by The Telegraph, the deterioration of relations between Ukraine and the United States, including the suspension of military assistance, greatly undermined the morale of the soldiers of the Armed Forces, as by the summer the fighting will become fiercer. “It is sad to say this, but we no longer have initiative on the battlefield,” one Ukrainian military official said. On Wednesday, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz admitted that Washington could resume military assistance to Kiev if the U.S.-Ukraine talks are successful.
