Specialists of the Marine Passenger Service began to collect petroleum products in a new mechanized way.
Rescuers and divers of the Maritime Rescue Service adopted new equipment. On rescue boats installed portable high-performance fire pumps with ejectors. These units work on the principle of a vacuum cleaner - a powerful pressure pulls viscous fuel oil with sand from the bottom of the sea. Manages this underwater "cleaning" diver. Petroleum products and contaminated soil come from the bottom through hoses directly into a special container on board the ship. This method of collecting fuel oil is used for the first time. Its effectiveness, judging by the first tests, significantly exceeds the manual collection. At the same time, vessels, pumps and storage tanks are still being finalized to increase productivity. To date, from the bottom of the port of Anapa divers have collected 77400 kg of fuel oil, according to Morspassluzhba.
