The restriction does not apply to supplies from producers of petroleum products. The decision was made to stabilize the situation on the domestic fuel market and counter the grey export of fuel. “The decision was made to maintain a stable situation on the domestic fuel market, to maintain the economy of oil refining, to counteract the gray export of motor gasoline.” The embargo on gasoline exports has been extended for all but its producers. Earlier, the government imposed a ban on gasoline exports abroad until February 28. Consumer prices for gasoline in Russia in January increased by 0.62%, according to Rosstat, and for diesel fuel - by 0.7%. At the same time, in the first month of the year, consumer prices for gasoline in the country exceeded producer prices by 2.8 times. A year ago, in January 2024, this ratio was more noticeable. Then the price of fuel in retail was 3.2 times higher than at oil refineries.
