The festive concert of the "Big Opera" was sold out in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg with a sold-out concert dedicated to the International Women's Day. The winners and participants of the Grand Opera project performed world-famous arias and duets, as well as Neapolitan songs and verses from the Imre Kalman operetta. On the stage of the 2.5 thousandth concert hall "Lakhta Hall" came Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev, Ksenia Nesterenko, Irina Mularchik, Konstantin Fedotov, Valery Makarov and Yulia Mennibayeva. The singers were accompanied by the IP Orchestra Symphony Orchestra conducted by Igor Ponomarenko. People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Kharatyan was the host of the festive show. I am glad to be a part of the grand festival of music called "Big Opera" again! The St. Petersburg concert flew in one breath. The exquisite audience of the Northern capital warmly welcomed the participants of the “Big Opera”, and we, in turn, congratulated the lovely ladies on International Women’s Day! – said Dmitry Kharatyan. The winner of the seventh season Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev performed an aria Don Juan from the opera of the same name by Mozart and Mr. X from the operetta Kalman “Circus Princess”. I am delighted with St. Petersburg and the audience who filled the beautiful Lakhta Hall! I am always happy to come to Russia to perform at concerts of the Bolshoi Opera. It is always sold out – in Moscow, in Yaroslavl, and now in St. Petersburg! I very much hope that one day the “Big Opera” will take place in my homeland, in Astana, said baritone Dinmukhamed Koshkinbayev. And soprano Ksenia Nesterenko, who in 2016 became the youngest winner of the project, performed for the St. Petersburg audience Juliet’s aria from the opera Gounod, Linda’s Cavatina from the opera Donizetti and Zazdravna from the movie “Spring”. This is the third time I participate in the away concerts of the Bolshoi Opera, which were held in Ufa and Yaroslavl, and now in St. Petersburg! Always with great joy accept the invitation from the TV channel "Culture" to such concerts, as it is work in a great company, preparation at the highest level and a wonderful happy audience that always fills the halls, - said Ksenia Nesterenko. The concert also featured vocal scenes from operas by Bizet, Verdi, Mussorgsky, Puccini, Saint-Saëns and Tchaikovsky. The festive evening ended with a long standing ovation – the audience did not let the artists off the stage for a long time. The Bolshoi Opera will continue the tradition of away concerts in different cities of Russia. And one more important news: in May, work begins on a new season of the project. The TV competition of professional opera singers "Big Opera" is one of the priority projects of the TV channel "Russia-Culture", which was first held in 2011 and during its existence opened a galaxy of young talented singers to a multimillion-dollar television audience, who today perform on the best opera stages.
