📝 Summary
Thousands of residents of the city of Gukovo, Rostov region are threatened with litigation. All of them received certificates of disability signed by the head of the Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise Boris Kotov.
The former official was convicted several times for issuing false certificates of disability. The investigation proved more than 300 facts of bribes and 1,790 cases of official forgery. It turned out that Kotov was ready to make a certificate to anyone for the amount of 40 to 100 thousand rubles. Now the investigation checks all residents of the city who received certificates from 2010 to 2017, when Kotov headed the bureau. “In each episode, the amount of 660 thousand to 1.1 million rubles appears as damage to the state,” the article says. All citizens whose guilt will be proved will have to return the money to the budget.
