The municipality transferred funds to their accounts in accordance with the contract, but the work was not fully completed. Of the 10 institutions, all the necessary equipment was received only in one, in several more works were carried out partially, three kindergartens were left without everything. At the same time, a letter was sent to the customer indicating that the equipment was purchased and stored from manufacturers, but it was not in the warehouse. The amount of damage amounted to about 80 million rubles. A criminal case on fraud on an especially large scale has been initiated. The investigation believes that the businessmen cashed the money. The Ministry said that one of the entrepreneurs voluntarily reimbursed 1 million. If proven guilty, the businessmen could face up to 10 years in prison and a large fine.
