In relation to the first vice-rector of the Volga Research Medical University (PIMU) and the head of the contract service of the university, a criminal case was initiated on fraud, the SU IC of the Russian Federation in the Nizhny Novgorod region reports.
Both suspects were detained in Nizhny Novgorod, in the near future they will be charged and selected a preventive measure. There are investigative actions at the university. According to preliminary data, in 2021, the defendants in the case ensured victory at an auction for the purchase of medical equipment of an affiliated company at inflated prices. As a result, the budget funds allocated for this purpose were stolen.
