On the former rector of Nizhny Novgorod University opened another criminal case

As told in the regional Department of the FSB of Russia, earlier Igor Vorotnikov was arrested in the case of abuse of power. During the operational-search activities, it was established that foreign citizens were enrolled in the university for budget places without passing mandatory exams in the Russian language, history and basics of Russian legislation. Then the migrants received fictitious employment without studying at the university, the report said. A criminal case was initiated on the facts of illegal activity. Recall that in mid-January, the Moscow District Court of Nizhny Novgorod Igor Vorotnikov was elected a preventive measure in the form of detention. The ex-rector, enrolling foreigners who were not going to study at the university, sent forged documents to the appropriate authority. As a result, the budget suffered damage of 4 million rubles. The investigation is ongoing. Persons involved in violations of the law are identified.
