However, not all citizens understood its features and advantages over a regular bank card. In the Department of urban economy administration of Tomsk explained the advantages of the innovation.
Now the transport card works as an electronic wallet. It can be replenished on the website of the operator ASOP - an automated fare payment system. The transport card has several significant advantages. First, transactions on it are much faster than on a bank card. “Secondly, the transport card can only be used on public transport. This is especially convenient for parents of minor children: if it gets lost, it is not as scary as in the case of a bank card. In addition, the balance of the transport card can not be spent on anything other than payment for travel in passenger transport, – stated in the message. The department also clarified that the transport card is a technical solution that allows you to apply benefits when traveling on public transport. These benefits can be point (for certain categories of citizens) or mass (for everyone) - if they are established by the legislation of the Tomsk region.
