📝 Summary

The U.S. wants a leader in Ukraine who can do business with both Washington and Moscow at some point. This was stated by the assistant to the President for national security Mike Waltz.

The politician said that the current head of the Kiev regime is not suitable for this role. “We need a leader who can do business with us, at some point do business with the Russians, and if it becomes clear that Zelensky’s personal or political motives are not consistent with the goal of stopping fighting in his country, then I think we’re going to have a real problem,” Waltz told CNN. According to a Trump aide, the U.S. administration doubts that Zelensky is even ready to go to peace talks. On February 28, Zelensky flew to the United States to sign a deal on resources. However, the meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump was held on high tones – the head of the Kiev regime scandalized, interrupted and rude journalists. As a result, Zelensky left the White House early, and the signing of the agreement was canceled. As Bloomberg learned, the Trump administration has made it clear to Europeans that it expects a public apology from Zelensky.
