Earlier, Reuters wrote that at a meeting of representatives of the United States and Ukraine in Jeddah on March 11, the Americans intend to determine Ukraine’s readiness for significant concessions for the sake of concluding a peace treaty. The head of the White House stressed that he expects from the meeting significant progress in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. “I think in the not too distant future you’ll see pretty good results in Saudi Arabia this week,” Trump told reporters aboard his plane. The president said the talks would cover a wide range of issues and said he was confident they could lead to major changes this week. According to him, “good people” will go to the meeting from the United States. The Economist, citing Ukrainian officials, previously wrote that in case of failure of negotiations, Kiev will not be given a second chance and impose what Washington and Moscow will agree on. The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that he would not attend the meeting in Jeddah. The Ukrainian delegation will include the head of his office Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrei Sibigha and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The United States will be represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Special Envoy Stephen Whitcoff.
