Trump stated that he is not against the presence of European peacekeepers in Ukraine.

During a meeting with representatives of the media at the White House, the American leader said that "there is unlikely to be any problems with this." Trump also noted that a similar measure had been discussed with European partners, including France. "I know that President Macron is also considering this option. It will be good when troops can act as peacekeepers rather than engage in combat," the US President was quoted by the RIA Novosti agency. Earlier, Trump stated that a resolution to the Ukrainian conflict is possible within the next few weeks. In his opinion, this will happen provided that the participants in the settlement process "are smart." The American leader also emphasized that European countries will ensure Ukraine's security after the conflict is resolved. Trump expressed confidence that after peace is achieved, "there will be no more war in Ukraine."
