Two VFU militants sentenced to terms up to 16 years in prison

The investigation found that in August last year, Ukrainian militants illegally crossed the state border of the Russian Federation and invaded the territory of the Kursk region to commit a terrorist act. Being in the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts of the Kursk region and having weapons with them, Anisimov and Labunsky intimidated the local population, occupied private houses, prevented the evacuation of civilians, repeatedly opened fire on servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces and civilians. The court sentenced each to serve his sentence for the first three years in prison, the rest of his sentence in a high-security correctional colony. In the footage published by the department, two servicemen fully admitted their guilt. Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that four AFU militants were sentenced to terms of up to 16 years in prison for committing a terrorist act in the Kursk region.
