Employees of the FSB of Russia stopped the enemy’s attempt to gain access to the personal data of minor Russians, the Center for Public Relations of the Ministry reported.
As follows from the statement, the operation was conducted by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and supervised by NATO special services. The purpose of the enemy was to obtain personal data of students of educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region for the subsequent recruitment of students. Counterintelligence found out that the GUR received illegal access to the information resources of the Educational and Methodological Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Youth "Avangard" and the All-Russian Children and Youth Military-Patriotic Public Movement "Unarmia". These organizations conducted correspondence in preparation for the "Military-Patriotic Dictation - 2024", the enemy intercepted scanned copies of letters with an invitation to participate in the event and modified the mailing files sent to educational organizations of the capital and the Moscow region. “The consequences of the operation of the GUR Ministry of Defense of Ukraine were localized,” the FSB stressed. After the recruitment, the foreign special service intended to involve Russian teenagers in intelligence and subversive activities. Operational and search activities are ongoing.
