The need to develop a new format of the agreement was previously stated by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi. Russia, in turn, is ready to contribute to this. I led the Russian delegation in the negotiations on the restoration of the JCPOA in 2021-2022. I can confidently say that Russia is better suited than anyone else to facilitate the achievement of compromises, Ulyanov said. The Russian permanent representative also commented on the appeal of French President Emmanuel Macron about the nuclear umbrella – his statement did not arouse interest in international organizations in Vienna.
