An important role in the development of the human capital of the region, support and preservation of the culture of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic is played by the activities of the project "Soul of Russia: Arctic", which aim to promote the cultural and historical values, traditions and creative heritage of the peoples of the North, act as a universal platform for dialogue between the participants of the creative community, support the creative industries - an effectively developing and promising direction of the region's economy, said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia, Executive Secretary of the IAF-2025 Organizing Committee. Project activities will be held from March 25 to 30. In particular, viewers will see documentaries “The Great Northern Way”, “Into the Arctic”, feature films “Philately”, “On the Exhale” and other films. According to the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis, the film program of IAF-2025 is aimed at strengthening national identity, promoting cultural values and uniting generations around historical dates and national symbols. “These are not just films or cartoons, they are part of the cultural mission of the largest Arctic event,” he said. In cinemas, cultural institutions and art spaces of the Kola Arctic, cinema and animation works dedicated to the culture, traditions and history of the peoples of Russia will be presented. As part of the children's program "Arctic Cinema Vacations", you can see "The Best Series of Soyuzmultfilm" and "Warm Animation of Soyuzmultfilm". Yuliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio, noted that the northern regions of Russia are carriers of rich culture and traditions, they also have a unique nature, which can become the basis for many projects in the field of creative industries. The collection of the film studio includes many films dedicated to the North, and the animated series "Umka", which was included in the program of screenings at the Forum. The session “The Northern Creative Way: Territory of Business Opportunities” will be devoted to the development of creative industries of the region. Film screenings within the project "Soul of Russia: Arctic" contribute to the integration of cultural heritage in the formation of our understanding of our history, culture and identity. They help to highlight key moments in the country’s history and promote universal human values. The youth audience is of particular importance to us. The memory of tragic and heroic moments should remain alive and relevant, especially for young people.
