An armed attack in a shopping mall near the central bus station in Haifa killed one person and wounded four others. According to local police, the attacker was eliminated on the spot. “At the scene there are police forces, the terrorist was eliminated,” the press service of the Israeli police said. According to Ynet, a 70-year-old man was killed in the attack. The four victims were promptly treated and taken to hospital. Among the wounded are a 15-year-old boy, a man and a woman in their 30s, and a 70-year-old woman. Earlier, the Israeli police reported suspicion of a terrorist attack with the use of firearms in Haifa. Later, the police said that we are talking about a terrorist attack with a knife. At the moment, law enforcement officers establish all the circumstances of the incident. On March 3, Russian FSB officers stopped the illegal activities of a member of a banned international terrorist organization. The attacker, who was planning to stage several terrorist attacks in Moscow and the Moscow region, bought components for improvised explosive devices in stores. Counterintelligence found that after the terrorist attacks, the man planned to get to the territory of Afghanistan and join the members of a banned terrorist organization.
