The head of the CPRF faction in the State Duma of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov is confident that the Central Bank should immediately reduce the key rate. The parliamentarian said this in an interview with the TV channel “Russia”.
According to him, the outcome of the negotiations between Russia and the United States on Ukraine depends on this indicator. As we conduct negotiations and prepare for them, we must understand, first and foremost, our financial and economic successes. There are grounds for this, but we must immediately abolish this idiotic rate of 21%. For our [economy] growth rates [low], the world — above 4%, we can not fall again, — said Zyuganov. He also believes that Russia needs to start processing rare earth metals as soon as possible. Zyuganov believes that “key resources” should work for each person, not for the oligarchic pocket. Now the key rate in Russia is 21%. At the February meeting, the Central Bank left it unchanged.
