More than 170 million rubles will be spent in Lipetsk for the overhaul of monuments dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The funds were allocated from the city budget, the plans include the improvement of 29 memorable places. All objects will be put in order by Victory Day, and after the celebration, the overhaul of the two largest memorials will begin. Workers will have to replace the granite slabs on the monument of the Grieving Mother, to renew the entire memorial complex at the Eternal Flame. In addition, the pedestal at the Victory Monument on the square of the same name will be repaired.
