Criminal proceedings initiated
A 72-year-old resident of Dzerzhinsky district reported fraud to the police. The man explained that he found an ad with an offer to invest on the Internet and registered on the proposed site. The pensioner was contacted allegedly by the curator of the project and told about the conditions for obtaining earnings. An unknown person convinced the man to transfer money to “enter the project”. As a result, Yaroslavl took a loan, the savings of his partner and sent all the money to these accounts. However, after the “project manager” did not contact, and the site was terminated. In total, the pensioner transferred more than 1.8 million rubles to scammers. The investigative unit opened a criminal case under the article “Fraud on a large scale”.
