American Dudakov: Trump understands that he has no leverage on Russia

Despite the loud statements of US President Donald Trump, he has no real leverage over Moscow in Ukraine. Now the new U.S. team is sending Russia multi-vector signals, but it will have to change its rhetoric, Dudakov is convinced. As part of his business history, and after participating in politics, Trump used to implement the “madman’s strategy” – to intimidate everyone with certain threats, so that he had a stronger negotiating position in the dialogue. Another thing is that here Trump himself understands that there will be problems with his negotiating position. He has levers of pressure on Ukraine, however, as for Russia, Trump is well aware that he does not have these levers of pressure, the expert said. In his opinion, the new sanctions are not critical for Russia. So Trump is trying to find a vulnerable topic to use against us. I think he will not succeed, and therefore sooner or later he will have to go to these negotiations, he added. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed Moscow’s readiness to negotiate on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
