"Green Arctic" provides volunteers with work clothes and tools, pays for a direct flight to the project venue and back, provides food, accommodation and insures participants for the duration of the project.
As soon as the snow melts, Yamal volunteers will begin an environmental mission. In the meantime, the recruitment for the Green Arctic expedition began. Applicants can be people from 20 to 45 years old, ready for physical labor in the field. According to the results of the selection, seven detachments will be formed to work in the Ingilore natural park, the Nadymsky reserve, at the Yuribey station, as well as on the Lovetsky island in the Nenetsky reserve. “Arctic volunteers have been involved in clean-up projects in Yamal from accumulated environmental damage for 11 years. Applicants are selected through testing, interviews and an educational program aimed at preparing volunteers for joint physical labor in the Far North. Based on the results of the selection, we form a rating of applicants and offer the most responsible and prepared to join our team, said Georgy Andreev, head of comprehensive volunteer training.
