AvtoVAZ announced the launch of a new brand of commercial vehicles. It's called SKM.
Under the brand SKM will produce passenger and all-metal vans and chassis with an open cargo platform, the press service of the company said. Cars will occupy a niche between Lada Largus and larger commercial vehicles. “This will create a completely original product that meets the needs of various categories of customers: private customers, representatives of small, medium and large businesses,” the company said. SKM cars will feature compactness, modern technical equipment, ease of loading and unloading. The start of sales of cars of the new brand will be announced later. Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov reported that the concern is working on creating a new brand of commercial vehicles. The company notes a growing demand for commercial equipment. Sokolov also announced the start of production of the new model Lada Iskra, the launch of mass production is scheduled for April 19, 2025.
