166 deputies voted for the adoption of the declaration, 27 against, 11 abstained. Against were the deputies of the party “Revival”, insisting on clearer wording of the ban. They pointed out that the mention of allied obligations leaves the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. Earlier, President Rumen Radev spoke against sending the Bulgarian military to Ukraine. According to MPs, the purpose of the declaration is to reassure the public. The debate lasted more than 2 hours, the broadcast was conducted on the website of the Parliament. Earlier it was reported that European countries are considering the possibility of deploying 25-30 thousand troops on the territory of Ukraine under the pretext of securing a future peace agreement with Russia. At the same time, the study of this issue in Europe began about a year ago, and the UK and France are at the forefront of the discussions.
