In Ulyanovsk and Buryat will consider the possibility of housing families with children

The first region to launch the program was Mordovia. In early 2025, the head of the region Artem Zdunov said that families who gave birth to a child from November 1, 2025 to November 1, 2027, the government of the republic can provide housing for hire with the possibility of transferring to ownership. The decision is due to the fact that the population of the republic has decreased by 50 thousand people over the past 10 years. In Kalmykia, the birth rate decreased by 11.5% in 2024. Young people of the main reproductive age - 20-29 years - are not ready to give birth, as they do not have housing and sufficient income. The authorities of Kalmykia have already submitted to the Federation Council a proposal to create a mechanism for co-financing social housing for young families. Both regions and developers believe that such programs need full or partial federal funding. Thus, the speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Vladimir Nemtsev believes that the issuance of social housing is an additional financial burden, “and for many regions, you may need financial support.”.
