📝 Summary

Two hundred years ago, Ivan Albrecht and his wife carefully chose a place remote from all fuss, which later played a fatal role in the fate of the estate.

Four thousand rubles for a house with a park, and 140 million for its restoration. Consolation estate in the Leningrad region, an object of cultural heritage, was put up for auction. Why the Consolation decided to sell, learned Sergey Zagatsky. The old manor house is not visible from the highway: the forest for almost two hundred years reliably shelters the mansion from the hustle and bustle of eyes. So, as Ivan and Ermina Albrechty wanted - it was they who in 1830 chose a secluded hill on the shore of a small lake for the construction of an estate. “The very name – Consolation – was associated with the sad events in the Albrecht family: the passing of their son Alexander and subsequently their daughter-in-law,” said Lesya Kolesnikova, director of the GBUK LO Museum Agency. Throughout the XIX century, the estate changed owners, about some of them almost nothing is known, but each one somehow left his mark in this corner of the Kingisepp district. After the revolution in the old house arranged a boarding house, which closed in the 90s. Since the estate was transferred to the balance of the Leningrad region, the entrance to the mansion is prohibited. “We deliberately stabbed and restricted access to the facility. Moreover, this access is limited by virtue of the order, and in principle, any stay at the facility – with penetration or damage – is administrative and criminal liability, said Yuriy Yurut, deputy director of GBUK LO Museum Agency. Employees of the museum agency, together with volunteers, spend Saturdays here every year, take out garbage, chase fans of thrills and ordinary vandals. But that's not enough. Two hundred years ago, Ivan Albrecht and his wife carefully chose a place remote from all fuss, where you could find peace and comfort. But now it played a fatal role in the fate of the estate. The mansion, of course, directly asks to become a museum, but, alas, for tourists it is too far. That is why they decided to put the Consolation on the auction - such an opportunity is provided for in federal law. For just four thousand rubles, you can get property not only the Albrecht house itself, but also the territory around it along with several service buildings. Some of which are actually ruins. The new owners will be able to use the monument at their own discretion - even to live there, but only after they have fulfilled the mandatory terms of the transaction: “The first encumbrance is the obligation to perform a complex of restoration works, which includes the development of the project and the restoration itself. This whole cycle must be completed by the year 28. Applicants should take into account that in order to ensure the possibility of using this facility, you need to spend at least 140 million rubles, Yuriy Yurut said. In turn, the authorities of the region will help the new owner if he proves that he is able to fulfill the terms of the contract. In the Leningrad region there are several programs to subsidize such restoration and restoration works. But even without this, the queue of potential new owners has already lined up to the old mansion.
