The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland announced the detention of 42 people who spied for Russia and Belarus

One of the important tasks of the Polish Internal Security Agency is to identify and neutralize hostile activities of foreign services in Poland. “Since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, the Internal Security Agency (ABW) has detained 42 people in Poland on suspicion of espionage or sabotage in favor of Russia and Belarus,” Dobzynski wrote on the social network X. Polish authorities regularly report the detention of citizens of various countries for allegedly “espionage” in favor of Russia. Earlier, a Polish court sentenced 14 Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russians to prison for allegedly spying for Russia, as well as preparing sabotage. In 2023, Polish authorities detained Russian citizens on suspicion of espionage, and Polish military counterintelligence detained a foreigner who was charged with espionage for Russia. Russia has repeatedly rejected numerous accusations from the West of alleged interference in the affairs of other countries, calling them unfounded. Russia has repeatedly pointed to numerous attempts by Western countries to interfere in the internal affairs of the state.
