In the Chelyabinsk region, new directions of tourism development are being discussed. We are talking about the development of excursion routes, the launch of thematic trains and the expansion of the range of tours.
According to Anna Troitskaya, Head of the Department of Analytics and Tourism Development of the Project Development Center, the tourist flow is growing in the Chelyabinsk region. At the same time, about 53% of tourists in the Southern Urals are residents of neighboring regions. More than doubled the number of tourists from Moscow and Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, three times — from Tatarstan. Interregional cooperation, as one of the key challenges facing the region in 2024, will remain a priority in 2025. Work will continue on the development of mutual tourist flow with Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tyumen, Orenburg, Samara, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Belarus, the Center for Project Development noted. The plan is to develop new railway routes for tourists. Last year, thematic trains were launched between Chelyabinsk and Ufa; Samara, Chrysostom, Miass and Satka; Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Tobolsk. In 2025, this work will continue, and other areas are being considered. In particular, representatives of Magnitogorsk, Troitsk and Kyshtyma joined the negotiations. In addition, the creation of new tours of cities of labor valor in the framework of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland is discussed. In the region, this title was awarded to Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Chrysostom and Miass. Tour operators are also interested in promoting industrial tourism programs. In addition, the task is to increase package offers and develop new weekend routes.
