Microbrama - a new serial format conquers the Chinese market. Episodes up to two minutes long and vertical image format are easy to view on mobile devices. The International Short Video Center has been launched in Shanghai to produce new content. To avoid monotony, the studio is actively expanding the genre lineup - the construction of an ancient quarter, where you can shoot historical dramas, has been completed. The shooting process of such products takes no more than a week and a half. At low costs, profits can reach tens of millions of dollars in a few days. The first episodes are available for free, but full viewing is by subscription only. According to analysts, in the next few years the market volume of short series will be compared in China with the cinema rental. “We provide a full range of services on our sites. Here not only are the scenery built, but there are comfortable rooms for costumers, make-up artists, props, artists. Compared to traditional films, vertical microdramas do not have such a wide viewing angle. This allows you to save space and create compact, but universal shooting complexes. There is already a queue in the ancient quarter – eight projects will be filmed here! – says Yu Yao, Deputy General Director of the International Short Video Center.
