We conceived this show together with one of the founders of Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberte. I asked him to do something Italian. You know, in a romantic, even poetic way, to talk about friendship. So it’s essentially a story about friends from an old circus who gather to commemorate the clown who passed away. This form allows us to transport the audience to the past, to show what the heroes have been doing for many years, said Daniele Finzi Pasca. A special atmosphere is created by music written specifically for Corteo, emphasizing the feeling that the main thing here is not sadness, but nostalgia, which permeates the entire production. The creators of the play call it a holiday of life, which is based on a deep human history.
