Composer Velichkovsky sues the label "Jam" because of the songs of the group "Arrows"

Last summer, the publishing house “Jam” sent complaints to the services “Sound” and “Yandex Music”, demanding to block more than 20 songs of the group “Strelki”, as three members of the group transferred the publishing house related rights to their performance of these tracks. Velichkovsky claims that the songs were performed by a choir of 12 people, so “it is impossible to remove one or three at their request from the recorded choir, moreover, the songs are official works recorded during their work in the group.” “The rights of the performer when giving permission to record his performance, and the recording was made voluntarily, with the consent of the performers, are exhausted and the performer has only the right to receive remuneration,” the composer said. The composer also said that such a ban limits his rights as a musician and the rights of artist Beretta (real name – Julia Glebova), as among the blocked tracks were her solo. To the case in the status of third parties involved members of the group “Arrows” Maria Kandiano, Svetlana Bobkina, Ekaterina Lyubomskaya, Julia Glebova. The meeting is scheduled for June. Publishing house "Jam" is engaged in sound recording (J.S.P. label), book publishing, protection of intellectual rights of authors and performers.
