On February 24, an explosion occurred at the Russian representation in the French city. Two out of three explosive devices that were thrown onto the territory of the diplomatic institution detonated. There were no casualties or injuries. "We were, in principle, prepared, expecting something like this, some provocations. Therefore, in advance, there is a parking lot for the consulate's official vehicles here, all cars were moved to another location," said the Russian Consul General in Marseille, Oransky. He also praised the quick response of the French police. "On Friday evening, I received a call from the deputy police prefect that they were increasing patrols on Sunday and Monday.
