According to the Investigative Committee, on February 24, unidentified individuals threw three bottles with unidentified explosive substances onto the territory of the Russian consulate in Marseille. Two out of the three containers exploded, posing a threat to the safety of the consulate's employees and disrupting its operations. "According to the investigation, the attackers acted with the aim of complicating international relations," said Petrenko. Currently, the department is establishing all the circumstances of the incident and, together with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is preparing an international request for legal assistance. Earlier it was reported that two people were detained in connection with the explosion on the territory of the Russian consulate. Two men aged 48 and 59 were detained in the area of the Marseille port after a pro-Ukrainian rally.
