After all, along with beautiful blooms, insects should not be allowed to enter the region. What harm can bugs measuring just a few millimeters cause, and what will happen if suspicious insects are found in the bouquet?

Did a dangerous pest arrive along with the flowers? The answer will be provided by a laboratory test. If the concerns of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance are confirmed, the batch will be destroyed. After all, such insects can transmit viral diseases that are dangerous for plants. Since the beginning of the year, more than 600 tons of flowers have been brought to the Urals. Red, yellow, white, powdery pink, and bright purple - the color range is diverse, as well as the varieties. Among all the abundance of flowers, on March 8th, women prefer roses and chrysanthemums, and they are also delighted by tulips and carnations. At the Ural customs, they are confident that there was enough fragrant cargo for all the ladies. Flowers are perishable cargo, so a certain temperature is maintained in the trucks carrying the plants to prevent the buds from blooming before the holiday. Customs control of such cargo is a top priority. Specialists say that the logistics of delivering beautiful plants has not changed since last year. Bouquets are imported from Ecuador, Kenya, and the Netherlands. Batches of bright flowers arrive in Yekaterinburg 2-3 times a week.
