📝 Summary

The head of the Duma Committee on health protection Sergey Leonov reminded that from March 1 in Russia comes into force the law prohibiting the sale of drugs with expired expiration date.

He noted that the innovations will protect the population, especially pensioners, from possible negative health consequences with unintentional intake of expired drugs. "Already on March 1, a law will come into force banning the sale of expired drugs and drugs, the civil circulation of which has been terminated," the parliamentarian told RIA Novosti. He added that the legislative ban applies to medicines with false information in the labeling system "Honest sign" or drugs about which there is no information in the monitoring system of the movement of drugs for medical use. Earlier, Dr. Myasnikov advised Russians not to store or take expired medicines. He noted that on many drugs shelf life is set in advance, and in some cases, even expired drugs can have a positive effect. However, the negative effect of such a drug on well-being is not excluded.
