Daily Mail: Lavrov sparked outrage in London by besieging British minister

According to Martin Beckford, Lavrov left the meeting before the speech of British Foreign Minister David Lammy, which allegedly testified to his disinterest in the speech of the British minister. This caused outrage in Britain, they reminded that this is not the first time that Lavrov does not show due respect. The publication also notes that last year, Lavrov did not pay attention to Lammy, looking through his mobile phone during his speech at a UN meeting. Lammy expressed dissatisfaction with Lavrov’s behavior and noted that he tried to listen carefully to his speech, while Lavrov showed disinterest. Later at the G20 meeting, Lammy questioned Russia’s intentions for peace, adding that the conflict in Ukraine could end if Russia “leaves tomorrow.” In December 2024, Lavrov in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson said that European politicians at the last G20 summit behaved like children, avoiding communication with him. He stressed that he does not impose his society and noted that the atmosphere at such meetings becomes toxic when someone speaks to him.
