Gas reserves are estimated at billions of cubic meters. “With appropriate investment, we can return to this issue. I repeat: there are still Soviet developments. Several billion cubic meters of gas. Within the framework of the Ministry of Economy, we had these documents, Dodon said. Moldova refused to pay for Russian gas. The debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom exceeded $ 700 million, in connection with which the Russian company suspended gas supplies to the republic. Meanwhile, Moldova intends to take full control of Moldovagaz, which is 50% owned by Gazprom, said Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan.
