According to the regional prosecutor's office, the man is guilty of a multi-million gas theft. According to the investigation, in October 2021, the suspect, in collusion with a gas service employee, organized an illegal connection of the settlement to the gas pipeline. "During the period from November 2021 to September 2022, several thousand cubic meters of gas were stolen in total. The total amount of damage caused is 31 million rubles," the statement specifies. The Kuibyshev District Court sentenced the organization's founder to 3.6 years in a general regime penal colony and a fine of 700,000 rubles. The former gas service employee received a 3-year suspended sentence with a probation period of 4 years. He was also ordered to pay a fine of 500,000 rubles.
