The national Russian currency will continue to strengthen for about a month. Such a forecast on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24” was voiced by the chief economist of “BCS World of Investments” Ilya Fedorov.
In his opinion, an even stronger strengthening of the ruble, if there is, will not last long. “The strengthening will probably continue over the next month. Perhaps it will no longer be so pronounced. In principle, we have already passed the main part of the strengthening, which is 80 percent. Potentially, the ruble may strengthen even more, but this is a short-term story, all processes have a limit. The budget includes an average of 96 rubles per year. In order to compensate for the budget part of the losses associated with the strengthening of the ruble, the exchange rate should be weaker, the economist said. There are no fundamental reasons for the course to be delayed at the current level. Closer to the spring, the situation should stabilize, Fedorov summed up.
