The men were found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud by an organized group or on an especially large scale”) and Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud using official position”). In 2022, the men signed municipal contracts to supply tickets for various concerts. Then the number of tickets reflected in the acts of work performed significantly exceeded their actual number. The damage exceeded 22 million rubles. “The court sentenced Borisov in the form of 2 years 10 months of imprisonment with a fine of 787 997 rubles, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in local self-government bodies for a period of 2 years,” the prosecutor’s office said. Zholobov was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison in a general regime correctional colony and a fine of 500 thousand rubles. In addition, the claim for recovery from the defendants 19,241,100 rubles for partial compensation for damages was satisfied, and the arrest of their property is also preserved.
