Four Novosibirsk residents are suspected of alleged car sales. The city prosecutor’s office approved the indictment and transferred the case to the court, the press service of the department reported in the Telegram channel.
The investigation believes that the defendants from August 2023 to February 2024 posted on the Internet ads for the sale of cars, contacted those wishing to buy a car, and received an advance payment, disappeared. Depending on the role and degree of participation, they are accused of committing 63 crimes under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud). "The actions of the accused caused damage to 63 residents of several regions of Russia for a total amount of over 1.5 million rubles," the ministry said. The activities of the criminals were stopped by criminal investigation officers. The case will be considered by the Kalininsky District Court of Novosibirsk.
