The court found that Ivanov received a bribe for concluding contracts on behalf of the corporation, the sole shareholder of which is the Belgorod region, to provide assistance to commercial organizations. As a bribe, he was handed a BMW 320D XDrive car, computer equipment, telephone, paid car insurance policies – property and services for a total amount of more than 3.7 million rubles. In addition, the defendant made decisions to provide citizens with land plots at a low cost. The amount of damage in this part exceeded 14 million rubles. The court also satisfied the prosecutor’s claim to recover from Ivanov damage caused to the mortgage corporation in the amount of 14.3 million rubles. The convict will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony. In addition, he must pay a fine of 11.3 million rubles, writes TASS.
