FT: Trump advisor suggested excluding Canada from Five Eyes

Within the framework of the Five Eyes, there is an exchange of intelligence data between the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. "Navarro, who has easy access to the Oval Office due to his close relationship with Trump, claims that the US should increase pressure on Canada by excluding the country from the Five Eyes," the publication says. Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon stated to the publication that any attempts to exclude Canada from the Five Eyes are deemed impractical for Washington. However, he noted that Ottawa should "realize that Trump is not joking" when he talks about claims to Canadian territory. Earlier, Trump stated that Canada becoming a part of the USA as a state would be beneficial for them, as it would provide Canadians with economic stability and protect them from external threats. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has pointed out that the Republican's plans to annex Canada to the States are quite realistic.
