📝 Summary
The Russian government has approved the introduction of a year-round 50% discount on the transportation of children on long-distance trains. The resolution was published on the official portal of placement of legal acts.
The benefits will apply to the transportation of children with Russian citizenship on long-distance trains within the country, with the exception of high-speed trains. Tickets with a discount can be bought in reserve cars, common cars and cars of the 2nd and 3rd classes. At the same time, the FAS was instructed to index tariffs for the transportation of adult passengers for 2026 “up to an economically justified level for the largest carrier carrying out such transportations (JSC Federal Passenger Company – IF)”.
